About YACY Por Elas
YACY Por Elas is an international project that promotes climate justice by highlighting the art, culture, and leadership of Brazilian indigenous women.
Since 2023, the initiative has connected female leaders to key positions in New York, with a strong presence at Climate Week, the UN, and institutions such as the Consulate General of Brazil and the Brazil-US Chamber of Commerce.

The YACY project aims to highlight the work, culture, and art of women from the indigenous peoples of Brazil.
In New York, the first exhibition of Indigenous women from Brazil took place in partnership with Angêlica Walker Projects in September 2023. YACY promoted cultural presentations, such as music, photographs, films, and rituals as part of the program.
The project took place during Climate Week 2023. YACY featured a series of events, including roundtables and business forums focused on sustainable entrepreneurship and the creative economy as means to preserve the environment and indigenous culture.
We were also at COP 28, in Dubai, and COP 30, in Belém, to discuss mining on indigenous lands — a project selected by the Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
